• Commercial Limo Insurance is extremely expensive and difficult to obtain and maintain

• • ​Our average cost per ride for Commercial insurance & licensing is approx. $25 per ride

  • The toll cost between the Villages & MCO is $13

  • The average cost of gas is $20 RT to/from The Villages to MCO

  • The average time per RT is 2.5 to 3 hours for an MCO trip. Most trips are one way fares

  • Paid drivers average $15/hour, which is up to $45 per trip (not including payroll taxes)

• Any car service with rates less than $100, may not carry commercial limo insurance

• Personal Auto Insurance policies in Florida contains "boiler plate" info that it does not provide coverage for driving another individual for a fare

• Southern Oaks SUV has consulted with several insurance and legal experts to better understand that vehicles utilized to transport riders for a fare must be commercially insured. All our vehicles are commercially insured and all our drivers are listed in our policies.

• Some transportation providers purchase "Ride Share Insurance" that is passed off as commercial insurance

• Ride Share Insurance is "gap" coverage that covers Uber & Lyft drivers between riders.  It provides coverage to drivers picking up passengers through the Uber app, not for independent rides.

• Florida is a no fault insurance state - As a no-fault insurance state, the state of Florida requires that injured drivers file personal injury claims with their own insurance. Without commercial limo insurance, any incident can quickly escalate into a legal nightmare

• Villagers work their entire life to enjoy their later years in the Villages, why take changes with a low cost provider?
